Box Score 2 ATLANTA, GA – Senior
Joe Crisp threw his first career no-hitter as the Kentucky State University baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from SIAC rival Clark Atlanta Saturday at Bill Evans Field.
"Obviously, the story of the night was
Joe Crisp throwing a no-hitter, but those were two good team wins," said Kentucky State University head coach
Rob Henry. "Our defense was very good behind Joe, and our offense kept getting men on base until we finally broke through in the eighth.
"We jumped out early in game two, and did a nice job of answering back when they cut the lead to 5-3 in the third inning.
Greg Tye was very good on the mound, and it was great to see home runs for Kevin Givhan and
Jordan Ransom to spark the offense. We also played really good defense all night, so we were playing well in all phases of the game."
