MACON, Ga. – Kentucky State baseball was held scoreless through eight innings before pushing across a late run in an 8-1 loss to No. 1 Spring Hill in the opening day of the 2026 SIAC Baseball Championship in Macon, Georgia.
Spring Hill scored six runs in the first inning and added two more in the fifth to build an 8-0 lead. Kentucky State broke through in the ninth when

The Thorobreds finished with seven hits and left 13 runners on base. Campbell,
Brady Wooldridge,
Kendall Garland,
Haruta Endo,
Logan Christophel,
Harry Major and
Preston Jones each recorded a hit. Jones doubled, while Endo, Christophel and McDonald each stole a base.
Harrison Barnes reached base four times with three walks and a hit by pitch.
Brad Dossett threw a complete game for Kentucky State, allowing eight runs, seven earned, on 10 hits with three strikeouts.
UP NEXT
It is now win or go home for the Thorobreds, who will face the loser of No. 4 Savannah State and No. 5 Morehouse on Friday, May 1. First pitch is slated for noon at Luther Williams Field.
