FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky State Athletics has a full slate of competition this week, highlighted by the Thorobreds' home football matchup against Saginaw Valley State on Saturday at Alumni Stadium.

The week begins Tuesday, Sept. 15, when Kentucky State women's volleyball travels to Charleston, West Virginia, to face the University of Charleston at 6 p.m.

The volleyball team then heads to Albany, Georgia, for four matches at the SIAC Crossover. Kentucky State opens crossover play Friday, Sept. 18, against Savannah State at 11:30 a.m. before facing host Albany State at 4:30 p.m.

Action continues Saturday, Sept. 19, with the Thorobreds taking on Clark Atlanta at 8 a.m. and Fort Valley State at 1 p.m.

Also Saturday, the Kentucky State men's and women's cross country teams travel to Berea, Kentucky, to compete in the Mike and Mary Johnson Classic.

The week concludes with Kentucky State football returning to Alumni Stadium to host Saginaw Valley State at 2 p.m. Saturday in Frankfort.
