FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State Baseball team will host a weekend series against SIAC opponent Spring Hill College this Saturday (April 13) and Sunday (April 14).
SERIES AT GLANCE
The Thorobreds (15-21, 10-13 SIAC) will face off against the Badgers (23-15, 18-6 SIAC) for a doubleheader Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m. with the second matchup taking place at 3:00 p.m. A single game matchup will take place the following day at 12:00 p.m.
FROM THE STABLE
Kentucky State has found themselves at the top of many statistical rankings in the SIAC this season, leading the conference in home runs, with 33 on the year. Junior Outfielder Collier Higgs leads the team and conference in the same category with nine home runs this season. The Thorobreds will look to bounce back following a 5-14 loss to Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday (April 10).
A LOOK AT BADGERS
Spring Hill College comes into the series on a one-game losing streak following a 4-14 (7 inn.) loss to Mobile College. The team has excelled at the pitcher's mound this year, recording an average 7.9 strikeouts per nine innings, leading the SIAC.
