FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Kentucky State baseball team will face off against Savannah State University this weekend in a single matchup on Saturday, Feb. 17, and a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 18.
The Thorobreds (4-2, 3-0 SIAC) will begin their weekend contest at 10 a.m. on Saturday and hope to get back in the win column after a narrow 1-2 series slide against West Alabama last week. Savannah State (3-0, 0-0 SIAC) is coming off a 3-0 series sweep over Bluefield State. They are led by Junior Outfielder D'Sean Prinkleton, who has totaled two home runs and seven runs batted in, in just 11 visits to the plate.
Junior Catcher Isaiah Zepeda-Felix currently leads the Kentucky State team, going to bat 20 times over the first six games of the season. In those trips to the plate, Zepeda-Felix has tallied eight hits, two home runs, 11 runs batted in, and 14 total bases. He leads the team in all of those categories.
