Kentucky State Track and Field Signs New Balance National Champion and Illinois State Champion

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky State track and field signs New Balance Indoor Rising Stars National Champion Demarlynn Taylor.
 
Taylor earned the national champion title by running an 8.16 in the 60-meter hurdles; his final run highlight can be watched by clicking HERE. "I give praise for the New Balance National Championship because of the tough field," Taylor said while talking about the championship.
 
He had continued success at the Illinois High School Association 2A Boys State Track and Field Championship with a personal record of 37.85 to take home the state title in the 300-meter hurdles. He earned another state title in the 4x400 Relay as the East St. Louis Senior High Flyers ran a time of 3:18.73.
 
In his first few days on The Hill, he said, " It has been a really great opportunity for me to come to Kentucky State and bring my skills and develop. I'm excited for the culture and opportunity and to be coached by Coach (Ramon) Johnson."
