Kentucky State Track and Field Reaches Podium at the 2023 SIAC Track and Field Championship

ATLANTA, Ga. – Interim Head Track and Field Coach and Athletic Director Ramon Johnson leads Kentucky State to strong finish at the 2023 SIAC Track and Field Championship hosted by Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. 
 
Brian Golden reached the podium in the men's pole vault clearing a height of 11'11.75" (3.65 m) to place second. 
 
Jaylynne Williams finished third in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.83. 
 
Christopher Coneway finished fourth in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 126'6" (37.60 m). 
 
In the women's high jump Erica Jones finished seventh in the women's high jump. 
 
In the women's hammer Ja'Miyah Donald placed eighth after a throw of 115'9" (35.38 m). 
 
Treyvon Beasley jumped a distance of 42'1.25" (12.83 m) for an eighth-place finish in the men's triple jump. 
 
In the track events strong prelim performances qualified for finals in the women's 4x100, men's 4x100, 
 
Treyvon Beasley made it the finals of the men's 100 meter dash and finished seventh running a time of 11.05. 
 
Success continued in the finals as the men's 4x400 meter finished with a 3:25.84 to place fifth. The women finished sixth as well in the women's 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4.11.34.
 
Both the men's and women's 4x100 teams made the finals and finished in eighth, the women had a time of 48.74 and the men ran a 42.65.
