FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State basketball student-athletes Gracen Kerr and Shamon Mosley served as guest stars for the Frankfort, Kentucky Optimist Club Mike Rosentein Rising Star Program held at the Thornhill Education Center in Frankfort Kentucky. 
 
Youth from amongst the Frankfort community were recognized or being leaders and overall positive influence in the classroom.
 
The Frankfort Optimist Club has been serving the local community for over 75 years through fundraising events for kids and their rising stars. 
 
Optimist International is an international service club organization with almost 3,000 clubs and over 80,000 members in more than 20 countries.
 
Optimist International delineates its mission, vision, and purpose to encapsulate its
objective of promoting and fostering the development of youth.
