Box Score FLORENCE, Ky. – After a strong first four innings the Thomas More Saints would defeat Kentucky State 14-4 Tuesday afternoon Florence, Kentucky.
The Saints led the contest with 14 runs, 13 hits and two errors with the Thorobreds scoring four runs, seven hits at two errors.
How It Happened
Thomas More two runs on a homerun and another two on a double to take a 4-0 lead after the first inning.
Isaiah Zepeda-Felix singled up the middle to put two runs on the board. The Saints responded with four runs and led 8-2 at the end of the second inning.
Thomas More added four runs in the fourth inning to take a 12-2 lead.
An error by Thomas More allowed
Preston Jones and
Treyvon Fletcher to add two runs scored unearned to close on 12-4 Saints lead.
The Saints added two runs at the bottom of the seventh to win the game 14-2.

Kentucky State will return home to host LeMoyne-Owen in a three game series. The games will tentatively begin with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 1 and a single game on Monday, April 2.
