Box Score Kentucky State baseball falls in a close contest with Asbury 12-9 in a midday contest at Alumni Field.
 
Asbury opened the first inning with four runs, followed by three runs in the second and one run in the third giving them a 8-0 lead going into the bottom of the third.
 
In the bottom of the third Aram Kumar and Jared Pierce would score giving Asbury an 8-2 lead after three innings.
 
Asbury went on to add three runs to their lead at the top of the seventh.
 
A high scoring eighth inning allowed Kentucky State to close on the Asbury lead. Seven members of Kentucky State went on to score runs, Roby Schank, Kelton Saylor, Antonio Chambers, Byron Famble, Aram Kumar, and Pierce. The Thorobreds closed on the Eagles lead 11-9 going into the ninth inning.
 
The Eagles scored their final run of the contest in the ninth inning, giving them a 12-9 victory.
 
Kentucky State collected nine hits and Asbury tallied 12.
