Box Score PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The Kentucky State University baseball team dropped a pair of games in the 2020 Peachtree City Baseball Classic Saturday, falling to Stillman, 11-9, and then to Fairmont State, 17-1.
Kentucky State is now 1-2 on the season and will cap the classic with a 2:30 Sunday meeting with Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Clark Atlanta. The game is a non-conference outing.
GAME ONE TURNING POINT
After Kentucky State pulled to within one with a five-run seventh inning, Stillman answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
Junior
Dom Lawson (Bloomfield, Ky.) went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the Thorobreds, while junior
Adren Thompson (Lexington, Ky.) added four RBI going 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Lawson has four straight multiple-hit games.
Senior
Kevin Givhan (Chicago, Ill.), sophomore
Josh Graves (Springfield, Ky.), senior
Chance Egnor (Shepherdsville, Ky.) and freshman
Kelton Saylor (Rossville, Ill.) all had two hits for the Thorobreds. It's the second time this season, and the fourth in his career, Egnor had a multi-hit game.
Senior
Brady Bibbs, 0-1, (Hornersville, Mo.) allowed six earned runs on six hits in 4.2 innings with seven walks and four strikeouts. Freshman
Damion Strong (Chattanooga, Tenn.) allowed two hits as he hurled two innings of scoreless relief.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
