ATLANTA, Ga. – Twelve Kentucky State University student-athletes were named to the 2018-19 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, the league announced today (June 25, 2019).
The All-Academic teams are selected by the Compliance for all sports in which the conference conducts an official championship. To qualify, the student athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.20 overall.
Women's basketball and softball recorded three student-athletes each to lead the way. All six of the honorees earned 4.0 grade point averages.
Senior

Amani Williams represented women's basketball, while senior
Paola Flores, freshman
Olivia Saylor and freshman
Olivia Steward are the three softball honorees.
Baseball, football and women's track & field all had two members selected to the academic team.

Dennis Bryant and
Dakota Waldridge (football), and junior
Jacob Kelly and
John Michael Etheridge (baseball) were the other student-athletes.
In addition to the selected members of the SIAC All-Academic Team, 71 student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's All-Academic Team.
