For the second time this season, Kentucky State University senior Joe Crisp has been honored by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Crisp (Shelbyville, KY) was named SIAC Pitcher of the Week, marking the third time this season a KSU pitcher has earned the conference's weekly honor. 

"Joe had all his pitches working this week," said Kentucky State University head coach Rob Henry. "He was landing three pitches for strikes to both sides of the plate. He worked ahead of the hitters, kept his pitch count down and limited free bases. It was a great all-around performance."

He allowed just five hits in shutting out LeMoyne-Owen with eight strikeouts and just one walk as the Thorobreds opened the SIAC series with a 5-0 victory.
