WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A late push in the final round of the 2026 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship led to a tied-for-third finish for Kentucky State men's golf, highlighted by a pair of Thorobreds finishing inside the top 10 at The Park in West Palm Beach.
As a team, the Thorobreds opened the championship with a 308 and improved in the second round with a 305 before posting their lowest round of the tournament with a 296. Western New Mexico won the team title, finishing the tournament with a three-round total of 890.
Garrison Barton led the way for Kentucky State with a tied-for-fifth finish, shooting a first-round 76 before improving by three strokes in the second round with a 73. He moved up three spots with a 74 in the final round.
In his final season,
Jean-Marc Chevrotiere earned a tied-for-seventh finish with a three-round total of 224. He had his lowest round of the tournament in the first round with a 1-over-par 73.
Robert Johnson stayed resilient following an opening-round 79, improving by one stroke with a 78 in the second round before carding his lowest round in the final round with a 1-over-par 73 to finish tied for 13th.
Shooting his lowest round of the tournament with a 74 in the final round,
Ryan Courtney finished with a three-round total of 234.
Brady Hensley rounded out the Thorobreds with a three-round score of 242.
