ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference named
Robert Johnson and
Ryan Courtney to the 2026 Men's Golf All-SIAC First Team on Monday.
Completing his final season at Kentucky State, Johnson has had six top-10 finishes, with his best results being third-place finishes at the 2026 Saginaw Valley State University Invitational and the Central State University Spring 2026 Tournament. He shot his best tournament score at the Kyle Ryman Memorial, where he fired a three-under-par to finish fourth out of a field of 75. This season, he has held a scoring average of 73.9.
In the best season of his collegiate career, Courtney has had two first-place finishes at the Midway Eagle Invitational, where he lost in a sudden-death playoff, and earned his first collegiate win at the inaugural Central State University Spring 2026 tournament. A one-under-par finish at the Midway Eagle Invitational was his best of the regular season, and he finished the tournament at one-under-par with a scoring average of 75.1.
Both Thorobreds will look to build on their successful year as they head into the second round of the 2026 SIAC Men's Golf Championship on April 21 in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi.
