TUNICA RESORTS, Miss. – Fueled by a 10-stroke improvement in the final round, Kentucky State men's golf finished fourth at the 2026 SIAC Men's Golf Championship on Tunica National Golf and Tennis in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi.
As a team, the Thorobreds finished the championship in fourth with a three-round total of 936. In the opening round, Kentucky State shot its lowest team score of the tournament, 308, followed by a second-round 319 and improving by 10 strokes in the final round with a 309.
Miles won the championship outright with a three-round total of 895.
LeMoyne-Owen's Albert Laursen claimed the individual title with a three-over-par, three-round total of 219.
Robert Johnson finished his senior season tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard. His best round of the tournament came in the first with an even-par 72. The second round gave him some trouble as he fired a 79, but he rallied in the final round, improving by six strokes for a 73. He finished the tournament with an eight-over-par 224.
Ryan Courtney finished 13th with a 15-over-par 231. Courtney opened the championship with his lowest round of 73. He finished the second round with an 80 and improved in the final round with a 78.
Both
Jean-Marc Chevrotiere and
Garrison Barton finished tied for 24th with a tournament total of 243. Chevrotiere shot an 83 in both the first and third rounds, finding his best round in the second with a 74. Barton closed the first round with an 84, followed by an 80 in the second and finding his lowest round on the final day with a 79.
Brady Hensley rounded out the Thorobreds in 26th, opening the championship with an 83 in both the first and second rounds while improving in the final round with a 79.
