Kentucky State Track & Field Rolls Into SIAC Championship with Four All-SIAC Picks

ATLANTA  –  Four Kentucky State track and field student-athletes earned All-SIAC First and Second Team honors, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Jaaliyah Biggers earned All-SIAC First Team honors in the women's long jump after recording a mark of 18 feet, 9.25 inches at the 2025 Jet Relays. Nigel Cochran also received First Team recognition with a standout performance in the men's triple jump, clearing a distance of 48 feet, 2.75 inches at the same meet.
 
The Jet Relays proved pivotal for two other Thorobreds as well. Yumana Lofton clocked a time of 10.40 seconds in the men's 100-meter dash, while Andrew Bownes recorded a throw of 149 feet, 3 inches in the men's discus. Both efforts secured All-SIAC Second Team honors.
 
Kentucky State will begin its championship push April 23-25 at the 2025 SIAC Track and Field Championship in Columbia, South Carolina.
