FORT WORTH, Texas – Kentucky State Track and Field turned in personal-best performances and podium finishes, lifting the women's team to a first-place title and the men's team to second finish at the 2025 Jet Relays.
 
For the women's teams Kentucky State earned the title after 93 points, which was 17 points ahead of SIAC foe LeMoyne-Owen who finished second with 76 points.

The men's team scored 82 points to finish second place behind Texas Wesleyan who took first.
 
In field events, Desire' Poole won a pair field events, with a personal best (outdoor) of 37' 5.5" in the women's shot put along with a 130' 10" mark in the women's discus.
 
The Thorobreds brought in 18 points in the women's javelin with a first place 87' 7.25" throw from Ariana Simmons and a 87' 7" throw that earned Poole a second-place finish.
 
A jump of 18' 9.5" earned Jaaliyah Biggers a third-place finish in the women's long jump.
 
Nigel Cochran led the men in the field events earning the NCAA DII standard in the men's triple jump after clearing 48' 3" for a second-place finish.
 
Continuing the consistent performances in the field for the men Andrew Bownes to second in the men's discuss with a mark of 149' 3.5".  Josiah Marsh cleared a distance of 43' 4" for a third place finish in the men's shot put with his teammate Andrew Bownes finishing fourth with a 42' 9".
 
On the track, Yumana Lofton met the NCAA DII standard with a time of 10.40 and a third-place finish in the men's 100-meter dash.
 
Kentucky State dominated the women's relay events taking first place in the 4x100m (49.37), 4x200m (1:43.07), 4x400m (4:04.89) and the 800-meter sprint medley relay (1:57.62).
