Women’s Basketball Heads to Rival Central Saturday

WILBERFORCE, Ohio – Kentucky State University women's basketball will travel to Central State University Saturday, Feb.22 for centrals state mini-homecoming. The women's tip off will be at 1:00 p.m. in central state gymnasium in Wilberforce, OH. 
 
SERIES AT GLANCE
Saturday's game will be the 31st meeting between the two teams since 2011, with the series split 21-10. Kentucky State University won the last meeting 51-47 on Feb. 1, 2025, which moved them to 10-5 when hosting the Marauders.
 
FROM THE STABLE
With one of the toughest schedules in the SIAC, the Thorobreds are 8-14, overall and 7-9 in conference play. They split their most recent SIAC road trips, earning a 70-62 home against Spring Hill (Feb. 17). Aaliyah Hayes leads Kentucky State with a total of 23 points, while Diara McBroom had 10 rebounds and 4 assist. 
 
SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS
Central State moved to 11-11 overall and 9-7 in conference play after a 58-52 win against Tuskegee University (Feb.17). Abbigail Peterson led her team with a total of 10 points and Diamond Philips had 6 rebounds with 5 assists.
