How It Happened
The Thorobreds got off to a fast start by establishing a double-digit lead early, sparked by back-to-back 3-pointers from Alexis Hayes and Aaliyah Hayes.

Asher pushed the lead to 28-21 with a fastbreak jumper with 41 seconds remaining in the quarter to give the Thorobreds a 21-10 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

Although Clark Atlanta made a push in the second quarter, Amyah Adair-Mars converted a layup with 1:55 remaining to halt the Panthers' run and push the cushion back to six.

The Thorobreds used their defensive intensity to limit the Panthers to just three field goals in the third quarter. Beating the buzzer, Brittany Campbell hit a 3-pointer from long range to give the Thorobreds a 12-point, 49-37 lead heading into the final frame.

Things got tight in the final frame as Clark Atlanta cut the Kentucky State lead to 54-53 with 2:12 left. Asher iced the game, scoring nine of her 16 points in the final minute, including seven straight free throws to secure a 69-55 win.
