OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – Kentucky State has best round of the season with after a 288 first round score on the Hermitage Golf Course General's Retreat in Old Hickory, Tennessee.  
 
Micah Stangebye and Robert Johnson led the way with 70's in the first round to sit tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard.
 
Another duo Max Dufey and Jean Marc Chevrotiere fired a 74 in the first round. Their teammate Wesley Potts rounded out the Thorobreds with a 79.
 
The final round of the tournament will begin tomorrow at in an 8 a.m. shotgun start on the Hermitage Golf Course General's Retreat.
