OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kentucky State men's golf turned in a strong showing with a third-place team finish at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational, topping host Kentucky Wesleyan and Thomas More at The Pearl Club.
Nationally ranked No. 41 Missouri S&T captured the team title with a two-round total of 567 (nine under par). The Miners' Isaac Chern Yi To earned medalist honors with a four-under 140.
Robert Johnson paced the Thorobreds, finishing fourth individually after posting back-to-back rounds of 71 for a two-under-par 141. John D. Costa joined him in the top 10, tying for eighth with a 148 after carding a pair of 74s.
Ryan Courtney recorded a 74 in the opening round followed by a 78 in the final round to tie for 19th overall.
Garrison Barton added rounds of 76 and 80 for a 156 total, tying for 28th.
Brady Hensley finished with a two-round total of 162, while
Jean-Marc Chevrotiere rounded out the lineup with a 167.
