FRANKFORT, Ky. – SIAC Rivals Kentucky State University and Central State University are set to face off this Saturday, Feb. 17 at the William Exum Center.
FROM THE STABLE
With an impressive 63-56 victory over Miles College last week (Feb. 10), and a 97-62 win against LeMoyne-Owen on Feb. 5, Kentucky State women's basketball extends their win streak to three games and moves to 13-3 in SIAC play and 17-5 on the season.
Gracen Kerr has continued to dominate opponents, as she leads the SIAC averaging 5.2 assists per game to tally 109 assists on the season. After a 25-point performance against Miles, Kerr is back at the top of SIAC rankings with 17.5 points per game.
With 99 free throws made, Taleah Dilworth ranks second in the SIAC and is foruth in the conference with 15.1 points per game.
Erica Jones leads the team with 132 rebounds, averaging 6.3 per game. Along with leading in rebounds she leads the Thorobreds with 17 blocks this season.
SERIES HISTORY
In their last 10 matchups, Kentucky State leads the series 7-3. The Thorobreds have won five straight against the Marauders, including their recent 62-55 victory on Jan. 27.
