Women’s Basketball Ranked 8th in D2CSC South Region Top-10

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State women's basketball moves to 8th in the Division II Collegiate Sports Communicators (D2CSC) and remains 2nd in the West Division of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).  

The Thorobreds continue to be a force this season as they hold a record of 10-2 in conference play and 14-4 on the season.  

On Monday, Jan. 22, Kentucky State had a battle for the number one seed in the SIAC and fell 61-70, Gracen Kerr led the Thorobreds with 15 points during the contest.  

In their next matchup of the week, Kentucky State defeated Central State 62-55 Saturday (Jan. 27) afternoon in Wilberforce, Ohio. During the contest, Erica Jones had a career-high night of 20 rebounds alongside 15 points.  

Road play will continue in Jackson, Tennessee to Lane on Wednesday, Jan. 31 5:30 p.m. CT and will return home on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. for their second meeting with Lane.
