The Kentucky State University women's basketball team continues to work toward the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament, hosting West Division-leading Miles Monday. The Thorobreds are currently seventh in the west.
REBOUNDING:Â Kentucky State is fourth in rebounding margin at plus 4.1 and sits second in the SIAC in defensive rebounding (35.8 rpg). Miles ranks third in rebounding margin (plus 7.5) and fourth in rebounding defense. The Golden Bears held the 32-30 edge in their overtime win over KSU on January 25.

Allenia Ponder is fourth in the conference with a team-high 42 steals and is second on the team with 46 assists.

Blankenship is ranked fifth in the conference in field-goal percentage (48.5 percent). She is also second on the team with 6.4 rebounds per game. Senior

DOWNTOWN NEE NEE BROWN: Senior
Carnethia Brown is second on the team with 11.8 points per game. She is third in the SIAC with 46 three-pointers made and is making 33.8 percent of her three-point attempts which is good for sixth in the conference.
KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES: Junior
Erica Jones is averaging 18.5 points per game over the last three games. In the win over Spring Hill a week ago, Jones finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
FROM DEEP:Â Kentucky State is second in the conference in three-point shooting, making 31.4 percent. Benedict leads the conference at 31.6 percent.
EVERY ONE:Â Senior guardÂ
Carnethia Brown is the only player to have started all 22 games this season. She is second on the team with 11.4 points per game.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS:Â Miles comes into the contest with a half-game lead on Tuskegee for first place in the West Division. The Golden Bears have won six of their last eight, but is coming off a 68-62 loss to Central State Saturday.
Sakina Wynn is the only player averaging double figures with 14.1 points per game. She is the team's primary threat with a team-high 25 three pointers. Wynn also leads the team in free throws (77) and free-throw attempts (108). She is second on the team with 6.0 rebounds.
Mya Millner is second on the team with 8.4 points and Kahyanne Bolton is third with 7.0 points.
Miles leads the team with 12.7 steals which enables it to have a plus 4.7 turnover margin, good for second in the conference.
