SCOUTING THE DRAGONS: After a slow start to the season in which Lane lost seven straight, the Dragons have rebounded to win four of their last six games, including a thrilling 69-68 overtime win over Savannah State. The Tigers missed the tying free throw with one second remaining.
Ra'Keta Shelton is the team's top threat, leading the team in scoring (13.2 ppg), rebounding (8.7 rpg) and steals (43). She also leads the team with 60 turnovers. Porche' Hannah, a 6-4 center, is second on the team with 7.8 rebounds and third with 8.0 points. Her 27 blocks are second in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).

ON THE CUSP: Despite being mired in a seven-game losing streak, Kentucky State has had the last possession with the chance to win or tie in five of the seven – including the last four games. In two of the five games, the Thorobreds held a late fourth quarter lead.
REBOUNDING: Kentucky State is fourth in rebounding margin at plus 5.7, while despite having two of the top 10 rebounders in the conference, Lane is ninth – getting beat on the glass by 4.2 rebounds per contest.

She is leads on the team with 11.6 points per game and is second with 5.9. Thanks to Blankenship, Kentucky State is third in the league – converting 39.5 percent (315-of-797).
