NICHOLASVILLE, KY – The Kentucky State University men's golf team wrapped up play in the Asbury Eagles Invitational on the Connemara Golf Course, placing 12th.
After shooting an even par 72 in the first round, sophomore Rob Duff (Frankfort, KY) came back to shoot a 10-over 82 in the second round. He started the day tied for eighth, and finished tied for 27th to be the highest placing Thorobred golfer in the event.
Junior
Jeremy Kimbrough (Chattanooga, TN) was the second KSU golfer, finishing with a 14-over 158. He made a four-stroke improvement from the first day 81, to post a five-over 77 in the second round of action.
Senior
Turner Warren (Louisville, KY) shot back-to-back 98's to finish with a 196. Graduate student
James Brace (Charlotte, NC) and junior
James Axline (Shelbyville, KY) withdrew after shooting first round scores, 91 and 91, respectively.
Kentucky State returns to the course Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Music City Invitational, hosted by Trevecca Nazerene at the Hermitage Country Club in Hermitage, TN.
