It's slated to be a busy week, weather permitting, for the Kentucky State University spring sport athletes. There will be action in all seven days of the week.
BASEBALL
The Thorobreds will be playing five games in the seven days, starting with a non-conference nine-inning game against Asbury Monday. They will play back-to-back nine-inning games Tuesday and Wednesday against Murray State and Eastern Kentucky, respectively.
Kentucky State kicks off Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action with a doubleheader at Morehouse Saturday.
Starters Joe Crisp and Greg Tye are scheduled to see action Monday before hurling in each end of the doubleheader Saturday. It will be staff days against Murray State and Eastern Kentucky, getting some work in for pitchers needing innings.
SOFTBALL
Kentucky State softball has a non-conference doubleheader against Bellarmine, rescheduled from Saturday, before ending the week with five games at the SIAC Crossover in Jasper, AL.
TRACK & FIELD
After kicking off the outdoor season at the Savannah State Relays, the track and field team stays in the Peach State to compete in the GATA Classic, hosted by Georgia Southern.
GOLF
The men's golf team participates in the LeMoyne-Owen Golf Tournament for a two-round tournament.
