This week in Kentucky State University athletics has a chance to be full of action as the men's and women's basketball team embark on their quests through the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Thorobreds begin SIAC tournament action 6:30 p.m. EST Monday against #5W Paine College. The winner of the game plays Wednesday against #1E Morehouse. The semifinals are slated for Friday with the championship game on Saturday.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Kentucky State University kicks off SIAC tournament action 3:30 p.m. EST Tuesday against #3W Miles. The winner gets #2E Albany State on Thursday. The semifinals are slated for Friday with the championship game on Saturday.
MEN'S GOLF: The
Mike Grugin era officially kicks off Monday as the men's golf team competes in the two-day Mars Hills Tournament.
BASEBALL:Â The baseball team has six non-conference games this week, hosting a Alice Lloyd in a doubleheader Wednesday, and travel to Salem for a four-game series Saturday and Sunday.

Greg Tye, the Thorobreds will turn to junior
Brady Bibbs and sophomore
De'Nayus Johnson Wednesday against Alice Lloyd. Bibbs (1-0) allowed one earned run against Voorhees in his only appearance of the season. Johnson (1-0) also earned the victory in his only performance of the season, shutting out Voorhees in four innings of work.
The duo of Crisp and Tye could return to action Saturday or Sunday with the other two starters yet to be determined.Â
