ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released the names of the student-athletes on the 2015 Baseball Preseason All-SIAC Team.
Kentucky State seniors
Cornell Brown and
Alexander Davie were both included on the list.
Brown, a pitcher/outfielder for KSU, went 7-4 in 12 starts on the mound last season. In 13 total appearances, Brown had a 5.14 ERA while striking out 23 batters.
Davie, the Thorobreds starting left fielder for all 52 games last season, hit a team-leading .323 in 164 plate appearances last season. Davie led the team in hits (53), doubles (9), home runs (5) and RBI (39) in 2014.
The Thorobreds begin their season at home on Saturday, Feb. 14, against Harris-Stowe State University. First pitch for the doubleheader is set for noon.
