Coach King-Coleman Still Chasing 100 Career Wins

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Women's basketball head coach Serena King-Coleman is still working her way towards 100 career victories.

King-Coleman started the 2013-14 season with a 94-182 record over her 10 year coaching career. Now in her fourth year at Kentucky State, King-Coleman has a 4-10 overall record this season and is sitting at 98 career victories.

The Thorobrettes have stumbled out of the gate in SIAC play. KSU enters Saturday's home game against the Tuskegee Tigerettes looking to pick up their first conference win after starting 0-6. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tip-off at the Exum Center.

The Tigerettes travel to Benedict tonight for a game against the Lady Tigers before heading to Frankfort. Tuskegee currently sits atop the SIAC West Division standings with a 7-6 overall record, 3-1 in SIAC action.

The last time the two teams meet was the end of the regular season last year. The Thorobrettes hosted Tuskegee who won that game by a final of 78-63.

If the Thorobrettes can secure a victory this Saturday they will have the opportunity to win Coach King-Coleman's 100th career game at home on January 20th against Stillman College.
