KSU Thorobrettes Fall to Tuskegee, 78-63

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State Thorobrette's lost to conference opponent Tuskegee University, 78-63, on Thursday evening at the Exum Center. KSU had three players score in double figures but were unable to contain the Tuskegee post players throughout the contest.

With the loss Kentucky State falls to 13-10 overall and 9-5 in SIAC action.

After the victory Tuskegee pushes its record to 17-6 overall and 14-0 in SIAC play.

Kristi Malohi had one of her best game of the season on Thursday evening. Malohi finished the game with 20 points, on 8-of-13 shooting, and 10 rebounds. Senior Jasmine Davis also had an excellent game finishing with 15 points and five rebounds.

However, the Golden Tigers were able to control the low post on the offensive end throughout the game. Tuskegee forwards Marie Mcabee and Nnenne Eze ended the game with 18 and 14 points respectively. The duo got off 29 shots from the floor combined as Tuskegee guards fed them the ball again and again.

The Golden Tigers were able to build a distinct rebounding advantage over the course of the game. TU pulled down 51 rebounds to Kentucky State's total of 37.

The Thorobrette's will be back in action this Saturday when they host conference foe Stillman College. The home game, scheduled for 1 p.m., will be Kentucky State's final regular season game of the season. The “Senior Night” pre-game will highlight the careers of KSU seniors, Sharnita Lloyd, Jasmine Davis and JoAnna Powell.
