Amina Seck who also recorded nine rebounds, two steals and one block. Teammate

How It Happened
The first quarter was a physical, low-scoring affair. The Thorobreds jumped out to an early 4-0 lead behind two quick buckets from
Diara McBroom. LeMoyne-Owen struggled with turnovers early, committing 8 in the period, but stayed in the game through dominant defensive rebounding (13 rebounds). A late jumper by Antieya Brown brought the Magicians within two of the 6-4 Kentucky State lead.
LeMoyne-Owen played their best offensive basketball in the second quarter, outscoring the Thorobreds 20-11. Marley Freeman ignited the run with back-to-back triples, while Janara Williams began to assert herself in the paint. Kentucky State kept pace through
Amina Seck, who contributed 4 points in the quarter, but a late tip-in by Brown gave LOC a seven-point 24-17, cushion heading into the locker room.
Kentucky State tightened their defensive rotations, holding the Magicians to just two made field goals in the period. While the Thorobreds struggled to score from the field, they lived at the free-throw line, with
Amyah Adair-Mars and
Amaya Asher combining for crucial points. A late flurry of free throws by Kentucky State cut the lead to just one point (32-31) going into the final ten minutes.
The lead traded hands in a tense final period. Antieya Brown and Janara Williams pushed the Magicians lead back to five (36-31) early in the quarter. However, Kentucky State's
Brittany Campbell hit a massive three-pointer to bridge the gap, followed by
Alexis Hayes' fast-break triple with 2:22 left to take the lead. Despite multiple offensive rebounds by LOC on the final possession, the Thorobreds' defense held firm to secure a narrow 40-39 win.
