FRANKFORT, Ky. — The NCAA announced its list of qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday, with Kentucky State's
Yumana Lofton earning a spot in the men's 200-meter dash.
The championships are scheduled for May 22–24 at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado.
Lofton secured his place in the national meet with a personal-best time of 20.71 seconds and also a new school record that was set at the Sycamore Open, sealing his bid for the postseason competition.
In his sophomore season, he had standout performances at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championships in April, he placed second in both the 100 meters (10.34 seconds) and the 200 meters (20.73 seconds). Earlier in the season, he won the 200 meters at the Morehead State Eagle Twilight with a time of 21.37 seconds and posted a wind-aided 10.40-second 100 meters at the Jet Relays.
Lofton also contributed to Kentucky State's relay teams, including a third-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay at the Jet Relays with a time of 41.51 seconds.
