Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Kentucky State Softball battled through day two of the SIAC Crossover, securing a thrilling extra-inning victory over Clark Atlanta before falling 9-1 to Edward Waters in the second game.

In the opening inning
Andralyn Brown scored on a double by
Jorden Bowman who would follow scoring by tagging up as
Savannah Teale lined out to the shortstop.
Tayler Floyd scored the third run on an error by the Panthers, The final run came as Aaliyah Young scored before the completion of the Clark Atlanta double play putting the Thorobreds ahead 4-0.
Clark Atlanta scored at the top of the second inning and added two runs in the third inning to get within one of the 4-3 Kentucky State lead. The Thorobreds responded going ahead by two run 5-3 lead as
Makayla Coffey scored on a passed ball.
In the sixth inning the Panthers tied the game 5-5 but at the bottom of the inning the Thorobreds would regain a 6-5 lead as
Alarryia Jones scored tagging up.
At the top of the seventh Clark Atlanta scored to tie the game at 6-6 sending the game into extra innings.
Troxler secured the win advancing two bases on a passed ball to score the game winning run.

The Tigers opened the contest with four runs in the first inning and added two runs in the second inning to take an early 5-1 lead.
At the top of the third inning Taylor Floyd hit a double into left field sending in Troxler for the Thorobreds lone run of the contest.
Edward Waters added a at the bottom of the third along with a pair of runs at the bottom of the sixth to take a 9-1 six inning win.
UP NEXT
Kentucky State will complete the contest with a pair of games beginning at 9 a.m. CT against Fort Valley State with their final game at 1 p.m. CT against Savannah State.
