SAVANNAH, Ga. – Kentucky State men's golf claimed the 2025 Savannah State Tiger Spring Invitational title in dominant fashion, finishing 18 strokes ahead of the competition at Crosswinds Golf Course.
 
The Thorobreds posted the tournament's lowest team score with a 296 in the first round. Despite adding strokes in the second round, they still led the field with a 310, finishing with a 605 total. Paine placed second with scores of 313 and 310 for a 623 total.
 
Johnson & Wales' J.D. Dintino earned individual medalist honors, shooting an even-par 144, highlighted by a first-round 71.
 
Two Kentucky State golfers finished in the top 10. Robert Johnson led the Thorobreds with an opening-round 71, followed by a 76 to place fifth. Micah Stangebye carded a 73 in the first round and a 76 in the second to finish seventh.
 
Jean Marc Chevrotiere tied for 12th with rounds of 77 and 79, while teammate Ryan Courtney improved in the second round, shooting a 78 after an opening-round 79 to finish 14th.
 
Garrison Barton rounded out the Thorobreds' lineup, opening with a strong 75 before struggling with a 90 in the second round to tie for 21st.

Kentucky State will compete in the Bluegrass State in their next time out for the Saginaw Valley Spring Invitational at Kearney Hills in Lexington, Kentucky March 15-16.
