CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – In a midweek non-conference match up at Thomas More, Kentucky State men's basketball fell to the Saints 92-61.
Thomas More took control early, going on a 12-point run at 13:39 of the first half. The momentum continued late in the half with a 28-point surge for a 39-11 lead with 3:32 remaining. The Saints maintained their advantage to take a 42-19 lead into halftime.
The second half continued in favor of the Saints as they took their largest lead of 38- points at the 5:08 mark. Kentucky State responded with an 8-point run at 4:15 but ultimately fell 92-61 to Thomas More.
Two Thorobreds scored in double figures, led by 16 points from
Aziel Blackwell and 13 from
Terin Wofford.
Kur Maler had a game-high three blocks, while both Jeramiah Israel (4-for-4) and
King Keary (2-for-2) were perfect at the free-throw line.
UP NEXT
The new year will open at home against Tuskegee on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 3 p.m. inside the William Exum Center.
