Kentucky State Women’s Basketball Hosts LeMoyne-Owen for Women in Sports Night

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State women's basketball will host LeMoyne-Owen on Monday, Jan. 27, for Women's in Sports Night; the tip is slated for 7:30 p.m. in the Exum Center. 
 
The Thorobreds will welcome young women from Central Kentucky for an opportunity to participate in interactive games and cheer on Kentucky State to victory.
 
SERIES AT GLANCE
Monday's game will be the 26th meeting between the two since 2011, with the series split 13-13. Kentucky State won the last meeting 97-62 on Feb. 5, 2024, which moved them to 8-4 when hosting the Magicians at Exum. 
 
FROM THE STABLE
With one of the toughest schedules in the SIAC, the Thorobreds are 5-12 overall and 4-7 in conference play. They split their most recent SIAC road trip, earning a 77-58 victory at Spring Hill on Jan. 18 before falling 62-47 at Tuskegee on Jan. 20.
 
Naja Fenelon leads Kentucky State with an average of 10.2 points per game, while Khalia Bryant contributes 9.5 points and 7.9 rebounds.
 
SCOUTING THE MAGICIANS 
LeMoyne-Owen moved to 5-14 overall and 2-9 in conference play after a 64-55 loss at Miles (Jan. 20). Kennedy Fuller led the Magicians with 18 points and leads her team averaging 10.6 points per game.
