FRANKFORT, Ky. –Kentucky State women's basketball fell 72–64 to Lane after a fourth-quarter rally by the Dragons Tuesday night.  
 
Khalia Bryant added her fifth double-double of the season, leading the contest with 21 points and 16 rebounds.  
 
Naja Fenelon led the Thorobreds with five assists, scoring 19 points, and Diara McBroom contributed 11.  
 
The Thorobreds finished the first quarter strong by going on an eight-point run that led to a seven-point 11-4 lead as 2:53 remained. Kentucky State finished the first quarter with an 18-11 lead.  
 
In the second quarter, things came together for Lane as their bench contributed 14 points while scoring 12 on fast breaks, which helped give them a narrow 33-32 lead at halftime.  
 
Kentucky State regained their lead after controlling the lead for over six minutes in the third quarter, leading to a four-point 49-45 lead heading into the fourth quarter.  
 
Lane went on a late 18-4 run in the fourth quarter that helped them overcome Kentucky State's third-quarter lead and take a 72-64 win over the Thorobreds.  
 
Conference play will continue for Kentucky State as they head to Mobile, Alabama, to take on Spring Hill College on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m.
