SPARK HILL, N.Y. – Javier Saldivar moves eighth in the nation in averaging 2.35 digs per set after New York road trip for Kentucky State men's volleyball.
Game One: Robert Wesleyan – 3 Kentucky State - 1
On Thursday, March 14 the Thorobreds met Robert Wesleyan and would win the second set 25-17 but Roberts would take the first, third and fourth sets to win the match 3-1.
Kentucky State was led by seven kills from
Jordan Howard and
D'Angelo Coleman. Three Thorobreds tallied two aces each Howard,
Monty Peterson, and
Kevin McGhee. Both Findley and
Malachi Allen led the match with five blocks. McGhee led his team with 15 assists and Saldivar led with 10 digs.
Game Two: Dominican University of New York – 3 Kentucky State – 0
In an evening Friday matchup at Dominican the Thorobreds fell in three straight sets 25-20, 25-20 and 25-23.
Kentucky State was led by 10 kills and two aces from Findley followed by 12 assists from McGhee and 9 digs from Saldivar.
Game Three: St. Thomas Aquinas – 3 Kentucky State – 0
Kentucky State met St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday (Mar. 16) and dropped the match 0-3 (25-23,25-12, 25-19).
Allen led the Thorobreds with six kills, Howard earned one ace, Findley amassed seven blocks and McGhee led with eight assists and six digs.
