FAIRFIELD, Ala. – The top two seeds in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Women's Basketball West Division #2 Kentucky State and #1 Miles will face off Saturday, Feb. 10 in Fairfield, Alabama.
FROM THE STABLE
With an 81-70 win against Lane (Feb. 2) and a 97-62 win against LeMoyne-Owen (Feb. 5), Kentucky State women's basketball moves to 12-3 in SIAC play and 16-5 on the season.
Gracen Kerr continues a force to be reckoned with as she leads the SIAC averaging 5.2 assist per game to tally 109 assists on the season. Averaging 17.2 points per game she leads Kentucky State and is second in the SIAC behind Iemyiah Harris of Miles who averages 25.3 points per game.
Shooting 47.7% from the field
Taleah Dilworth ranks second in the SIAC, she leads the SIAC making 92 free throws season.
Erica Jones leads the with 127 rebounds to average 6.4 rebounds per game. Along with leading in rebounds she leads the Thorobreds with 17 blocks this season.
SERIES HISTORY
In their last 10 matchups Miles leads the series 6-4 and in their most recent matchup the Golden Bears defeated the Thorobreds 70-61.
