Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. – Jalyn Shelby has season high night 35 points along with a double-dealer by grabbing 13 rebounds to lead Kentucky State to a 97-62 win over LeMoyne-Owen.
 
As 11 proves to be a lucky number for Gracen Kerr she tallied 11 points and 11 rebounds to add another double-double on the season.
 
Taleah Dilworth had strong performance of 19 points and her teammate Sydney Thomas tallied 14.
 
In the first quarter the Thorobreds scored 10 points in the paint and 12 from turnovers to end the first half with a 24-17 lead.
 
A fast break layup on a turnover by Dilworth gave Kentucky State a 22-point 53-31 halftime lead. The Magicians had 16 turnovers in the first half allowing the Thorobreds to score 24 points on turnovers.
 
Shelby's long-range shot propelled the Thorobreds to a commanding 81-45 lead over LeMoyne-Owen, with just 35 seconds left in the third quarter.
 
A three-pointer by Thomas extending the Kentucky State lead to a 39 point 90-53 at the 7:03 mark of the fourth quarter.

The 35th point on the night for Shelby came at 2:45 in the fourth as she scored on a layup to bring the Thorobreds back to a 39 point 97-58 lead. Kentucky State would go on to defeat the Magicians 97-62.
