FRANKFORT, Ky. - Kentucky State women's basketball will aim to even the series against Albany State when the Thorobreds host the Golden Rams on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Exum Center.
The two teams last faced off on Dec. 18, 2023, with Kentucky State securing a 72-63 victory in Albany, Georgia. Since 2011, Albany State holds a narrow 10-9 edge in the series.
The Golden Rams (2-4, 0-2 SIAC) recently ended a four-game losing streak with a dominant 107-37 win over Agnes Scott on Dec. 4. Keyra Peterson leads Albany State with 10.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Kentucky State (3-5, 2-1 SIAC) looks to rebound after a 72-53 loss to Edward Waters on Dec. 2. The Thorobreds are led by
Naja Fenelon, who averages 9.9 points per game and tops the team with 19 assists this season.
Khalia Bryant has been a force on the boards, tallying 66 rebounds and averaging 8.3 per game.
