FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Kentucky State men's basketball team will host SIAC foe Albany State on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. in the Exum Center.
Kentucky State holds a slim 10-9 lead in the series since 2011, but Albany State claimed the most recent meeting, an 84-56 victory on Dec. 18, 2023, in Albany, Ga.
Albany State (2-3, 1-2 SIAC) is coming off a 95-79 loss to conference foe Spring Hill, extending the Golden Rams' losing streak to two games. Their lone SIAC victory this season came in a 66-60 win over Tuskegee on Nov. 13.
The Thorobreds (4-3, 2-2 SIAC) enter the matchup following a midweek 76-61 loss to Tuskegee. Kentucky State is led by standout guard
Lavar Miller Jr., who is averaging 20.6 points per game.
Aziel Blackwell has also been a consistent contributor, averaging 17.7 points per game.
