FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State men's basketball returns to action Wednesday, Dec. 4, hosting Tuskegee in a midweek SIAC matchup. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at the Exum Center.
The Thorobreds improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play following an 83-72 victory over Edward Waters.
Aziel Blackwell led the charge with a game-high 33 points, going a perfect 14-of-14 from the free-throw line.
Morgan Brewer contributed a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks in the win.
Tuskegee (2-4, 1-1 SIAC) enters the matchup riding a two-game winning streak. The Golden Tigers secured a decisive 85-47 victory over Benedict on Nov. 19 and edged Georgia Southwestern State 78-76 in a nail-biter on Nov. 26. Kevin Sesberry leads Tuskegee, averaging 15.7 points per game this season.
Since 2011, the two teams have faced off 26 times, with Tuskegee holding a commanding 21-5 series advantage. Their most recent meeting was on Feb. 26, 2024, when Kentucky State defeated the Golden Tigers 74-69 on its home court.
