FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State women's basketball team will aim to break the 2-2 series tie against Savannah State on Saturday, Nov. 30. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Exum Center.
The Kentucky State Thorobreds (2-4, 1-0 SIAC) fell to Thomas More 69-51 on Nov. 26, splitting their home record at 2-2.
Khalia Bryant recorded her third double-double of the season, posting a game-high 17 rebounds and 11 points in the loss.
Savannah State (3-2) edged the University of South Carolina Beaufort 61-56 in the River Rivalry on Nov. 26. Amani Hamilton powered the Tigers with a double-double, recording 18 points and 10 rebounds. Three other Tigers also scored in double figures: Alayah Birch contributed 14 points, Mya Byrd added 12, and K'lya Hankerson chipped in 11.
Since 2019, the series is tied at 2-2, with Savannah State winning both matchups in Frankfort. In their most recent meeting on Nov. 25, the Thorobreds defeated the Tigers 82-75 in Savannah, Georgia.
