FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State men's basketball will face SIAC foe Savannah State on Saturday, Nov. 30, tip is scheduled for 1 p.m. inside the Exum Center.
Continuing their 2024-25 season at home, Kentucky State (3-1, 1-0 SIAC) saw their unbeaten streak end in a narrow 74-71 loss to Thomas More on Nov. 26.
Lavar Miller Jr. led all scorers with 29 points, hitting seven three-pointers and going a flawless 6-for-6 at the free-throw line.
Aziel Blackwell added to the offensive effort with 20 points, maintaining his strong early-season form.
Riding a two-game win streak, Savannah State (2-2) secured their latest victory in the River Rivalry, defeating the University of South Carolina Beaufort 80-69. The Tigers were led by Ayjay Plain and Qua King, who each scored 17 points to top all scorers.
Savannah State leads the all-time series 4-1, with the teams' most recent matchup taking place in the first round of the 2024 SIAC Men's Basketball Championship. The Tigers claimed an 87-71 victory in that contest on March 5, 2024.
