FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State men's basketball opens their 2024-25 season at home to Tiffin (0-2, 0-0 G-MAC) on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. inside the Exum Center.
FROM THE STABLE
Ten Thorobreds are making their return to the program and will be led by six seniors,
Jaylen Daughtery,
Lavar Miller Jr.,
Tyson Brooks,
Justin Edmondson,
Nick Cross, and
Ogien Ayo. Also returning are three juniors,
Tayzhean Archuleta,
Aziel Blackwell, and
Morgan Brewer, and one sophomore,
Cordell Livingston.
Four transfers are going to make their debut Wednesday, guard
Deavion Scales from Erskine College, guard
Keon Henderson from Schoolcraft College, forward
Gregory Melvin from East Los Angeles College and forward
Chase Dumas from Huntingdon College.
SCOUTING TIFFIN
The Dragons enter Wednesday's game with an 0-2 record, coming off a 73-64 loss to Lewis University. In that game, Dekyre Fuller led Tiffin with 25 points and six assists. This season, the Dragons are under the leadership of first-year head coach Desmond Balentine.
THE SERIES
Since meeting in 2017, the Dragons lead the series 4-0 and in their last matchup (Nov. 16, 2023) Tiffin defeated Kentucky State 74-64.
