FRANKFORT, Ky. – Beginning their 2024-25 campaign with three road games, Kentucky State women's basketball opens their home schedule to Trevecca Nazarene on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. inside the Exum Center.
In their opening week, the Thorobreds faced NCAA Division I opponents Loyola Chicago and Western Kentucky in exhibition games. In their first regular-season matchup on Nov. 8, Kentucky State fell to Kentucky Wesleyan, 76-66.
Early in the season,
Naja Fenelon has recorded three consecutive games in double figures, highlighted by a 16-point performance at Loyola Chicago on Nov. 4. Transfer
Shannon Niles has also made an immediate impact, scoring 15 points in her debut at Loyola and adding 11 points against Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 8.
Trevecca Nazarene enters Tuesday's game with an 0-2 record, having secured two exhibition wins over Bryan College (55-46) and Fisk (60-45). In their most recent game on Nov. 9, the Trojans fell to Lynn, 54-49, at home. Trevecca is led by Tatum Shaw, who is averaging 11.5 points, and Cheyenne Trotter, who is averaging seven rebounds per game.
