OWENSBORO, Ky. – Robert Johnson fires a two-under-par 70, to finish tied for sixth and position the Kentucky State men's golf team in a tied-for-sixth position after round one of the Bill Crabtree Invitational at the Pearl Club in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Nationally ranked #22 Missouri S&T leads the invitational with a first round 11-under par, 277. Kentucky Wesleyan's Jonah Graham and Issac To of Missouri S&T leads the individual leaderboard with a first round four-under-par (68).
Johnson's first round was highlighted with an eagle on hole six and birdies on hole 10, 11 and 14 to card a two-under-par, 70 and hold a tied for sixth position on the individual leaderboard.
Micah Stangebye turned in two-over-par 74 that included two birdies on holes 14 and 15. His teammate
Demar James also finished with a 74, with four birdies on the scorecard.
Maximiliano Dufey who ranks #114 across NCAA Division II finished with a four-over-par, 76 and birdies on holes four and five.
Cadyn Sava shot a nine-over-par, 81 as his teammate
Jean-Marc Chevrotiere finished with an 84.
Dufey will lead off the final round tomorrow (Oct. 29) at 11:06 a.m. on hole one.
